  • For anyone who has been impacted by some else's drinking. Members share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems.

  • Joining Alateen allows teenagers to meet other teenagers experiencing similar situations.

  • This is not a religious program and there are no fees or dues to belong to it.

 

Center for Discovery Eating Disorder Support Groups

Schedule: 2nd and 4th Monday of every month from 8-9 p.m.

  • The Center for Discovery offers free Zoom peer-to-peer support groups focused on eating disorder recovery.

  • This group is open to anyone who is currently in treatment, in recovery, or has not yet sought treatment for an eating disorder.

  • You Grow Girl Support Group: A safe place for teen girls ages 13 17 to feel supported while having honest conversations about the struggles girls face in today's world and how to grow through it.

  • Covers topics including Self-Esteem, Emotional Regulation, Body-Image, Relationships, Dating, Decision Making, Distress Tolerance, and Mindfulness.

  • Takes place every other Saturday from 11am – 12pm at First Choice Counseling & Wellness Center.

  • This program aims to improve access to treatment and support services for youth and young adults ages 16-25 that either have, are experiencing symptoms, or are at risk of developing a serious mental health condition.

  • The program also aims to reduce stigma related to mental health, and focuses on empowering young people to be their best.

  • A virtual support group for people 18+ with mental health conditions. This program is also available in Spanish, NAMI Conexión.

  • Free of cost, led by people with mental health conditions, and confidential.

  • This peer-led virtual support group is for any adult with a loved one who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition.

  • The Spanish version of NAMI Family Support Group, Grupo de Apoyo para Familiares de NAMI, is available in a limited number of states.

Alternatives to Suicide - Peer Network of Tampa Bay

  • A peer-based support group for supporting those who have or currently struggle with suicidal ideation; provides a safe space where adults can share anything, including feelings or thoughts around suicide without judgment.

  • To meet the risen mental health support needed in response to the pandemic, Peer Support Space continues to host Daily Digital Communal Gatherings at 12PM and 6PM, Monday-Saturday for the general community.
